Interviews are like buses.

Well I had a phone interview tonight ( customer service in a bookies ) and it felt to be going well, and afterwards I was invited to a face to face next week.

So now it seems I have two interviews, both on Tuesday, the other is the adviser role.

One is 15 miles north of my house and the other is 8 miles south.

So as I said they are like buses, there is none and then two come at the same time.

I am going to do some research in to both this weekend, as interviews can be really difficult, you never know what they are going to ask you, so have always taken any opportunity to ask others about any advice they can give me on how to best be prepared.

WISH ME LUCK  X

  1. Good luck!!! Research is a good idea as well. I came unstuck on this in an interview a few years ago.

  2. All the very best with the interviews. Recently my son who hasn't had meaningful employment for well over three years, has an interview at ALDI. Sadly, he didn't get the job. Their reason for not hiring him? They told him he didn't ask enough questions. Rather bizarre considering he felt confident he could do the job and felt their was no need for further questions. Anyway, Justine, something for you to bear in mind.
    Enjoy your weekend.
    In kindness, Gary

    1. Thank you for your advice. I always leave thinking "I wish I'd said this and wish I said that"

One of my faults is, I go thinking of all the things I want to let them know about me and sit in the interview trying to find a place to fit things in. But by doing this I am not fully concentrating on what they are actually asking me.

At least I am aware of this and can try to avoid it.

  3. Asking questions is a good thing too! I always take the view that you are interviewing the company as much as they are you.

However, I do remember not getting a job I had an interview for some time ago. Upon being rejected, I asked for feed back on the interview. Apparently, I asked TOO MANY questions on their target structure!
